I felt it for the first time in Lisbon — the way the cobbled streets catch the golden light, the scent of grilled sardines floating from a nearby tasca, and the distant hum of a tram creaking up one of the city's impossibly steep hills. This was the moment I knew Europhile Explorer had to exist. Lisbon wasn’t my first stop in Europe, but it was the first city that slowed me down . I arrived expecting a quick three-day itinerary of must-sees and photo ops. Instead, I found myself sipping vinho verde on a rooftop in Alfama, listening to an old man sing fado from an open window.
